Abet’s laminate, the design choice for the new Humanitas University

Present with its materials and coatings wherever it is necessary to fulfill the needs of teaching, Abet has brought its quality and design to the lecture hall of Humanitas University in Pieve Emanuele (Milan), thanks to the LAMM company, leader since 1959 in the production and installation of seating systems for conference rooms, auditoriums, universities and public spaces.

Throughout the structure, LAMM has met the functional needs and flexibility of use required, adapting the set-ups to the different needs and teaching methods, from lectures to group works.

For the Didattica building and for the Aula Magna, LAMM supplied 600 and 228 E4000 study benches (design Lucci and Orlandini). They are self-supporting furniture that allows an easy modification of layouts and spaces.

The 600 study benches were supplied in the version with folding top arranged in straight and flat rows. The writing surfaces have increased depth and anti-tip feet that allow the desk to become self-supporting, without the need to drill the flooring.

The finishes have also been customized, with dark gray painted metal parts, as well as the surfaces of the seats, backrests and shelves, in Rovere Texas by Abet.

Black paint was chosen for the metal parts of the additional 228 seats that furnish the main hall. Rovere America by Abet is the covering chosen for the seats, backrests and shelves.
